5 3d Printers on a metal storage rack for production printing

Welcome to 3D Printing Dragonfly, where art, imagination, and technology collide in the most delightfully chaotic way possible. I’m Lori Anne Brown — artist, maker, and unapologetic 3D printing addict. I fired up my first printer back in 2019, mostly because I was fascinated by the idea of turning what I could imagine into something I could actually hold in my hands – the closest thing to Star Trek’s replicators available. Since then, what started as a creative hobby has evolved into a full-blown passion and business.

In January 2025, I officially launched my Etsy shop, turning this creative chaos into a small but growing business. Here on the website, you’ll find my ongoing adventures in 3D printing — from testing new printers and filaments to designing products, troubleshooting epic print fails, and building a functional, creative 3D print studio one layer at a time.

My goal is simple: to help others fall in love with 3D printing and show that anyone — artist, crafter, or total beginner — can bring their wildest ideas to life with a bit of patience and a lot of curiosity. And that 3D printing can be more than just a hobby…It can be a lucrative business. Are you interested in turning your 3D printing hobby into a business? Come join my Facebook group: 3D Printing for Fun and Profit.

You’ll also find links to my Facebook page and YouTube channel, where I share behind-the-scenes videos, design tips, and sneak peeks of new projects. So grab your favorite filament, pull up a chair, and join me in this world where art meets engineering, and creativity never stops printing.

I decided to give 3DPrintingDragonfly it’s own domain separate from my personal and art blog at LoriAnneBrown.com. It will take me a bit to get everything the way I want it, but I’m looking forward to continuing my 3D Printing adventure here.
